Bonjour,

After fourteen years of competition beginning in Germany, I still love biking very hard to win road races in breakaway or in point races on the Alpenrose's velodrome in Portland. Despite no coaching in Germany, I learned to race for my german team, Mars Rot Weiss Frankfurt e.V. and shared victories of our best sprinters from Southwest of Germany like Torsten Kalbrunner and Frank Kowatschitsch.
Since 2003, I am learning to become a winner instead a great helper thanks advises of the professional coach, Philip Sanders within his/my team, Beaverton Bicycle Club (BBC). Beside my priority as scientist at Oregon Health and Science University (OHSU), I still participated to over 60 competitions in 2004 with 35 positions in the top 10. In 2005, I focussed of less competitions to save time and increase training time, but to get greater results in each individual races. 2005 results are satisfying with one victory at the weekly race at Portland International Raceway and 5 positions in the top 10 in road races. My results on the track in Alpenrose were great with one gold medaille in 3kms pursuit and 5 bronze medailles in other events (keirin, Madison and 1 km).I finished as 6 best racer in category 3 in Oregon for the entire year 2005. Communiting by bike to the west campus in Beaverton is an other fun (40 kms) each day. 2006 is maybe the year with great victories after fast three years training with my coach Mr. Philip Sander.
update 2008: beside couple victories on the road and on the track I become Oregorian Champion in my age-category 35-39 on Uphill Time trial and doubled my title as Champion in Points Race on the track.
